18th St near Vine in Kansas City – Faux Storefronts

Faux storefronts on 18th St near Vine in Kansas City. The vacant buildings had storefronts painted on to them for the production of the movie Kansas City (released 1996). It seems to me someone must have maintained the paint or it has lasted really well. The Robert Altman film covered the famous jazz scene that blossomed around 18th and Vine in KC.
